Children’s Village Honored by Child Welfare League of America

The Children’s Village has been honored by The Child Welfare League of America and the Walker Trieschman Center as this year’s winner of the 2010 David Liederman Award. This competitive award is designed to recognize innovators in leadership development and workforce practices. Children’s Village was selected for its best practices in strategic planning, management training and development, Board involvement, cultural competence, and leadership and the child welfare field. The award was presented at CWLA’s 90th Anniversary Gala on January 26 in Washington, DC.

The CWLA award comes on the heels of CV’s receiving the 2009 Agency of the Year award from the Alliance for Children and Families.  CV is honored to be recognized as a leader by both organizations. These awards are recognition of CV’s committed and talented staff who work hard to positively impact the lives of children and families in our community.
