HFC Northeast held 2 events in 2008. The 3rd Annual Boston Open Your Heart to the Children benefit was held on November 13, 2008 at the State Room. About 200 guests were in attendance to enjoy a sports-themed evening of cocktails, dinner, a crackerjack giveaway, and a silent auction. The branch also held a Summer Soiree cocktail party on June 17, 2008.

Thanks to the 2 events they hosted as well as other personal contributions, the Northeast Branch will be distributing about $140,000 in grants to community-based nonprofit organizations in the greater Boston area from the funds raised in 2008.
