Committee of Hope

In 2005, the Committee of Hope was founded by rising industry professionals so that they, and their peers, could make a difference in the lives of abused children and contribute to the Midwest Chapter of Hedge Funds Care in their own way. The funds raised at Committee of Hope events are combined with those raised at the annual Chicago benefit, creating an even larger contribution to local organizations dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse.

The Committee of Hope recently completed two exciting events for 2007; a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament in July, of which it was a beneficiary, and sponsoring of the 3rd Annual Fall Affair cocktail party in the fall.   • Texas Hold ‘Em Mid-Stakes Tournament
    (June 8, 2006)

    • The Committee of Hope Texas Hold ‘Em Mid-Stakes Tournament was held at Cactus in Chicago.

    • The event raised almost $35,000
    • Top prizes included a high definition flat screen television, two round-trip airline tickets and an Apple Video I-Pod
    • Funds raised will be contributed to the 06/07 grantmaking cycle in the Midwest, helping to award grants to local organizations dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse
