Hedge Funds Care

Hedge Funds Care (HFC), the alliance of hedge fund industry professionals committed to protecting children from abuse and neglect, held its 2^nd Annual UK Benefit on Wednesday, 3^rd October 2007. The event was attended by 450 industry professionals and raised hundreds of thousands of pounds in support of the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

The ‘Open Your Heart to the Children’ black tie event was held at the Natural History Museum and featured an auction conducted by James Cannon of Savills which included exciting items such as two spaces on the F1 Yacht at the Monaco Grand Prix 2008, four days in Las Vegas for two people for the Ricky Hatton/Floyd Mayweather boxing match in December 2007, and a long weekend in a SuperCar from P1 Club. Funds were also raised through the sales of tickets, raffles, and generous donations from the UK hedge fund community.

Their support is paramount to the success of our mission in transforming the lives of children that suffer the trauma of abuse. In our first year since the launch of Hedge Funds Care UK in 2006, we have supported four charities that undertake invaluable work in the areas of prevention, treatment and support for children affected by abuse. We remain committed to furthering our charity work in the UK and look forward to next year’s event.’

Hedge Funds Care U.K. held its inaugural Open Your Heart to the Children Benefit on October 12, 2006. Guests were entertained to the backdrop of fantastic music, sumptuous food and great drinks. Auction items included an Anya Hindmarch handbag and a three night stay at the luxurious Makanyane Safari Lodge in South Africa.
